  1. I have been reading your comics for a long time now. Now, when I go to the link I had saved, it brings me to what looks like your home page, and I cannot find anyplace to click for the daily comic. I am very disappointed.

    • Hi Adelaide… Jim’s answer should get you the cartoon…Hope it helps… Thanks for being a such long time reader!

        • Alex. To answer your question. Bil Keane died on November 18, 2014. Bil Keane is now in heaven. But his son Jeff Keane is still alive drawing Family Circus comic strips. The Family Circus comic strip won’t ever be the same without Bil Keanes input.

          • I’m sorry I made a mistake about Bil Keanes Death date. It’s November 8, 2011 that he died on. The cause of his death was heart failure. Sorry about that mistake, Kathy.

          • What makes you think he’s in heaven. According to the Catholic Church, the statement is blasphemous, since it is anathema for a human being to claim Christianity in matters of divine salvation.

Besides that, since of all the thousands of Christian sects, it is logically necessary that only one of them can be true. The odds are against Keene having belonged to that one, so he, along with the vast majority of mankind, is probably roasting in hell right now.

          • Helena,

Don’t be afraid to read the Bible. It has some great news for you. There is a small book in the back called 1 John. The 5th chapter is amazing!

          • Helena – You are to speak the truth with kindness and reverence.(1 peter 3:15-16) We have every reason to hope for heaven for each person. Their presumption of his being in heaven is the equivalent of your presumption of who is in hell. Their statement implied their hope not their explicit knowledge, it was not necessary to spell it out. Listen to hearts, not meerly words. Also, the Catholic church has never declared any person to be in hell, the concentration is on getting others to heaven…the sin of pride is too easy for us. We need to remember that God is love and we need only to be holy, we will never be all-knowing, thank God! Love!

    • Your web site performance really is terrible. I’m not able to see the cartoon most of the time. Show the ads after you display the cartoon.

    • “WOW”, A quick note to tell you that I have always been a huge fan of “The Family circus, always and still do love it, I came across this site accidently, I did not know this was still around, I will be following you—- THANK YOU !!!!

    • I just want to write that I found your comic for Sunday March 13th very touching for me or anyone who has lost a loved one. Very sweet, thank you for years of reading enjoyment.

    • Thanks, Jim… You replied quicker than I could… That will probably be a common occurrence here… I type with just two fingers.

  2. Hey there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs
use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I
wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be
    greatly appreciated!

materials but most of them serve the same purpose. While most sleeper mechanisms are essentially the same,
there are some things you should do on the show-floor to make sure you are getting a
sleeper sofa you will like. You can find this information on the tags attached

  9. Grdat goods from you, man. I’ve keep in miknd your stuff prior to and
you are just too magnificent. I actually like what you’ve bougt here, certainly like what you’re
saying and thee way in whichh in which you assert it. You are making
it entertaining aand you continue tto care for to
stay it wise. I can’t wait to read far more from you.
This is actually a tremendous web site.

  10. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the structure of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

  11. I’ve had fun coming to this site every now and then, the past few years. I read “The Life and Times of Bil…” section and then I found an article about him on Wikipedia. Until today, I didn’t know he had passed away. I am so sad to learn this! He lived a long life and everything, but still, it’s sad.

I’m glad Jeff is still writing these comics. They’ve always been my favorite, ever since I was little.

  12. I have been previously surfing on the web more than 3 hours nowadays, however I hardly ever uncovered just about any interesting content similar to your own. It truly is very worthy of ample for me personally. In person, if many world-wide-web managers plus blog writers produced beneficial articles because you do, the web is actually a many more handy than any other time.

  13. Now, I just love these comics. Keep ’em comin’, Jeff. Hopefully your kid and his kid and the kid after that will keep ’em going, too.

It’s hot down here. See you soon.

  14. On the 6/11 comic, it says , “everyone wore their hair that way.”

I thought Mommy had at least an elementary-school education.

Singular-plural agreement is an “upper elementary” skill at least in California.

“Everyone” is singular. “Their” is plural.

How much better this would read if it said, “Everyone wore her hair…”

At least Mommy wouldn’t come across as uneducated.

  15. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and
visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome.
    Superb Blog!

  19. Love Family Circus.
I understand 7 days a week 52 weeks having to come up with a new strip…
    Yet, Jeez. 07.27.14 Sunday
I weekday single panel for a Sunday!
Guess you had to get to a golf game that day

  20. I read ‘FC’ twice a day – in both our local papers. Today’s panel, 4 AUG 2014, had two different captions: one with ‘four’ and one with ‘five’. I’ll assume the earlier paper said “August has four weekends” and later in the morning, someone at FC realized their mistake! Or was it the sharp eyes at the QC Times that made the correction?

    Thanks for the good work!

  21. On Aug 4th your comic was just perfect for my Family. “August has five weekends this year. That means we get to take a really long vacation.” On the 9th of Aug we leave for a 5 week vacation to see the Out West.

  24. I read the family circus everyday..it,s very awesome, and reminds me of my childhood..I ,am a pianist, organist, music educator since 1972,and.also listen to children of all ages Christmas list,s as santa, since 1973 ,and now have my own real white beard, and custom hand sewn red velvet suit,s. The family circus is so touching.Larry Hazard aka Santa Larry.

  25. We also have enjoyed Family Circus for many years. The F.C. in today’s paper is an exception. This reminds my wife and I about a bad part of our childhood. This treatment of children is not only out dated but also inappropriate. Threatening children is just not acceptable. This only teaches them a wrong way to interact with others. We do not need to teach our children that threats and violence is ever the correct answer when others do things we do not like.

  26. These games are normally shareware and may take a few moments in order to down load according to your web relationship.

Additionally, most gaming sites add several features that encourage interaction between gamers including forums, chats, multiplayer games
and tournaments, etc. Generally, people who play games online, tend to travel into a virtual
world created by the game, at the same time making them feel disconnected from the real world all the time they play.

  27. Concerning the todays Family Circus comics stuck in the time loop.

I remember back in the 1980s and 1990s as a kid growing up. I remember The Family Circus being alot funnier in the past than today done by the former Bil Keane. I used to enjoy reading and looking at the Family Circus drawings and the 3 cartoon video specials. I have looked at the latest Family Circus drawings and I’m very bored with it. Where’s the humor? Everything about it is facts of life. It’s all about technology and ads and complaining about every little thing, It feels like listening to church talks everyday. Every “Family Circus” strip ever done by Jeff Keane from 2001 to 2014 has gotten me bored to death, it feels like a time loop where the characters are like “Peter Pan” who never grow up living in a boring church life. I miss the input by Bil Keane when he used to be alive.

I had to buy the 1960s “The Family Circus volume 1” which I found very funny and real cute. I’d rather read those because they make me laugh. I also found it interesting there was grownup themes involving smoking, grownup parties, drinking and women in bikini swimsuits, the kids created real chaos. I even liked the way the early dad panicked. But the grownup themes including smoking and drinking are no longer in Family Circus.

But now it’s still featured in King Features newspapers for over 50 years. Why won’t the King Features start allowing more teenage and grownup comics to be in newspapers? Why do comic strips still have to be censored? Why is King Features stuck in the past with not allowing newer comic strips in newspapers.

Jeff Keane you have talent to draw cartoons. When will you start your own comic strips other than Family Circus? When will you do more grownup comics that either make us laugh or excite us? Will you do superhero, or fantasy, or adventure comic strips? I hope Jeff Keane will decide to branch out to drawing his own comic strips other than Family Circus because I find Bill Wattersons “Calvin and Hobbes” 1985-1995 funnier than todays 2014 Family Circus.

Anyways Family Circus fans feel free to comment and let me know if you feel the same way.

From Ben who’s into the 1960s-1990s Family Circus done by former Bil Keane.

  28. Everyone loves what you guys are usually up too.
This kind of clever work and reporting! Keep up the wonderful works guys I’ve incorporated you guys to blogroll.

  29. Hi. I sent an email several months ago and to my knowledge never received a response. I love reading the cartoons, they make me smile and are so true with life. Several years ago I had a Family Circus desk calendar and just loved it. I have not been able to find one since then. Is there a place for me to purchase a 2015 calendar? Thanks, vickie

  30. Re: Today’s cartoon (Sunday, Dec.21,2014) our family read in the Nashua, N.H. Telegraph:
My daughter asked “why are the kids in the cartoon waiting for Santa when there are already presents under the tree?” It appears that Santa has already been there.

  31. With reference to today’s comic, please help Kittycat live a longer life by NOT letting her go outside! She won’t be exposed to illnesses, she won’t kill the backyard birds, and she won’t get hit by a car which surely would cause trauma for the family! Keep her inside and give her a litter box to use.

  32. When I was a kid in the late 60’s, I recall that a neighbor next door had posted a Family Circus comic on their refrigerator. On Feb 7, 2015 the same punchline was used.

  33. Your website performance is terrible. Please display the cartoon prior to displaying the ads. Performance will improve. Thanks

  34. Dear Bil and Jeff,

we are missing PJ so much. We love your cartoons but lately we have not seen our dear PJ. Would you kindly include him soon in your cartoons.

  35. Hi Jeff,

Long time fan of the Family Circus. My daughters who are 10 and 12 have also loved it since they were able to read. We bought The Family Circus Library Vol 1 and 2 when they first came out. Curious to know what happened to Vol 3. Was suppose to come out 5 years ago, but it doesn’t appear that ever happened. Was really looking forward to a Vol. 3, 4, 5, etc. Any plans to release anymore? It would be a shame not to.

  36. In the cartoon for 7-7-15, Dolly says, “If they don’t have chocolate in heaven, I don’t want to go.” In 1985, Larry Gatlin said in his song Midnight Choir, “If they don’t have Mogen David in heaven, who the hell wants to go!”
Sound an awful lot alike — shouldn’t Gatlin get some credit for his work?

    Gene Laskey

  37. Your cartoon of2015/6/26 hit me where I live. For more than eighty years I have spread the butter, jam, peanut butter, or whatever, to the very edge, to cover the crust as well. I wanted it that way, and if any child didn’t want to eat the crusts, I spread the good stuff even thicker on the edge and they loved it too. Thanks for the memories, J.L.

  38. Hi Jeff. I remember this series of panels from the summer of 1978 where the family spent several weeks at Disneyland. Each day I was excited to see where in the park they were going to be and even as a kid, I remember “getting the joke” about how the family was in line for Space Mountain for two days. I realize some of the details in this series have been updated for today’s audience, like the Submarine Voyage with it’s newer “Finding Nemo” signage, but I’m trying to remember who the singer or the band was that was originally referenced in the comic from July 28th (instead of Justin Bieber)? Can you please tell me? Thank you!

  39. Jeff, I’m a former Disney Cast Member (CM). I have thoroughly enjoyed the Disneyland comic strip theme since July 17, 2015. I have posted a link on my Facebook page to your strip for my fellow and former CMs to enjoy. Thank you for the “Family Circus!”

  40. Jeff,

I am a long, long time fan. Just curious about one thing. The way the family looks has stayed pretty much the same, kids, pets dad since the 80’s or so, except mom. Hair, face shape, other small changes.

    Why was that?

You have done a wonderful job after taking over for your dad. Thanks for the laughs.

  41. My Grandma had a very special family circus cartoon that she saved for over 20 years. It featured the Grandma character. She was speaking on the phone, and was asked by her grandchildren if she thought of them when she wasn’t around. The comic showed that her house was a mess with grandchildren type stuff. We saved this comic in our family after my grandma passed away, but sadly it has been lost. I desperately want to find another copy of it. I THINK it is from 1977, but I’m not certain. Can you please help me find this. IT would mean the world to me. Thank you in advance.

  42. The Family Circus cartoon for January 29, 2016 with the picture of the father holding a Wine List and the child stating, “Could I ask the waiter to bring me the soda list”, is very worrisome regarding the direction your cartoons may be headed.

  43. I used to receive the daily Family Circus cartoons. Then they stopped. I’ve resigned several times, but nothing come to my mailbox. Can someone help me. The cartoon has been a joy for so many years I can’t remember.

  44. Regarding the comic dated July 26, 2016. The postage due letter from Billy should be ( 47 cents ). That is the current rate !!!

  45. I am excited to know Bil’s son continued where his Father left off. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember. My husband and I share the cartoon daily. We continue to be grateful for the cartoons you write?
You take everyday circumstances and allow us to have a good laugh daily. For that we are grateful. Love the characters. Thank You

  46. I am trying to find a classic Family Circle strip that my grandfather had framed when I was a child. The clip was the point of loving your family meant multiplying your love, not dividing it. I have attempted to find it on the archive link but was unsuccessful. It is my best guess that it would have been published in the 70s.

  47. Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop,
just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad
is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally
off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  48. Family Circus and Blondie are our most favorite comics. My parents and my siblings have fans for years . I especially love PJ 🙂 . I am grateful for your beautiful simple clean art. Thank you.

  49. Excellent pieces. Keep writing such kind of information on your site.
    Im really impressed by it.
Hello there, You’ve done a fantastic job. I will certainly digg it
and individually suggest to my friends. I am sure they will be
    benefited from this website.

  50. The piece on July 6, 2017, Mommy seems to be overdressed for doing lawn work in the middle of Summer. Been a fan since I was a little kid. I’m 54 and still enjoy seeing The Family Circus each day! I’m glad you have continued it after your father.

  51. Hello! For Grandparents Day this year, September 10, 2017, I am preparing to share with my colleagues (who are employed in nursing homes), a wonderful Family Circus cartoon of a HUG! The date of it’s release is hard to read.. something like 2-22-1998. Anyway it is a marvelous depiction. Thank you! “..a hug… the perfect gift… get one today!”

  54. Family Circus has been my favorite since I first read them as a kid. They so reminded me of my family when we were growing up in the 60s and 70s. I used to have all the books and they were well-read. Sadly in college we had a dorm fire and all but “Good Morning Sunshine” and “Hello Kitty” were lost. My own sons loved those two to pieces and now they’re all gone. Still, we get the new strips in the paper and I enjoy the new ones.

  56. I’m looking for an older Family Circus cartoon that featured the children wanting to go through a gate outside that really represented going from birth through life. Once someone entered the gate (and there were a lot of people wanting to go through it, mostly younger ones wanting to grow up) there was no turning back.
If you can help me locate it, I would appreciate it.
    thanks, Frank

  58. Hi! I am 43 years old, and have been the Family Circus’s #1 fan since I discovered them at age 8! I have most of the books (the ones I know of anyways; I’m trying to be sure I have every single one!) and my Family Circus is library is my prized collection! I wrote a fan letter to Bil Keane once, and he sent me an autographed reply back! One of my most treasured possessions! I even have a magazine from 1988; an article about the Keane family, who I adore. <3 I was so sad to hear of Mr. Keane's passing. But, as stated, I'm SURE he is in heaven. Wonderful, sweet man and darling family. The family Circus will always be at the center of my heart! Bless this entire family!
(And to Helena – what is wrong with you?? How dare you come on this website to make such a horrific, mean statement about this man! What is your purpose?? Do you think that is kind or helpful to this family in any way?? I'm surprised it wasn't deleted from the site; incredibly insensitive.)

  59. I have always loved the simpleness, yet profound statements made by these kids. I love the family, and the way they worship, and the innocence of the kids. Thank you. I am also looking for a cartoon where Jeffy is praying to keep his daddy safe (I don’t remember his exact words) and there is a picture of his daddy trying to cross the road and a speeding car is coming and a big invisible hand is stopping him. I have looked for some time, but can’t find it. Is it possible to find it?

  60. My wife’s birthday is today, March 8th. She remembered a few year’s back that today is the little boy’s birthday in the strip, and has noticed the same thing every year on this day. So we were thinking that maybe it was the birthday of Bill or Jeff Keane. So I found Bill’s birthday on Wikipedia (Oct. 5th), but not Jeff’s. Are we on the right track, or is there some other significance to March 8th?

    We love your work!

P.S. If it’s at all possible, I would love to purchase a bunch of prints of your March 8th strips to make some sort of collage for my wife.
